Dr. Stewart MacKenzie, DVM, FAVD (Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry)

"I have always had a deep love and respect for animals. I remember as a young boy bringing home and “rescuing” everything from dogs and cats to lizards, birds, and insects much to my mother’s chagrin! After spending some time in general practice, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to come to Woodlands Veterinary Hospital & Animal Dental Centre and purchase Bowmont Animal Hospital in 2019. These clinics have provided me with the framework from which I can continue to learn and grow in my pursuit of veterinary excellence. My spare time is spent volunteering for different rescue groups evaluating behaviour in dogs, sitting on the board of directors of several dog related organizations, judging for the Agility Association of Canada and actively competing at the national level in several different dog sports. I look forward to working with you to enhance the relationship between you and your pet while always staying focused on maintaining your pet’s optimum health.

Dr. Bill Golbeck, DVM

With his 3 adult children following their own ambitions, Bill now spends his spare time with his partner Tatjana and his cat Louie. Raised in Ontario and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1983, Bill was drawn to the west. After a brief time with a local mixed practice in Ontario, he moved to Calgary, working emergency shifts and day locums while exploring the mountains in his time off.  Bill and his wife Tatjana started the Westmount Animal Clinic in 1989 and eventually sold it in 2018. After a short transition period/retirement, he is grateful and delighted to be able to see pets again and continue practicing at Bowmont Animal Hospital.
